"Voice of Sri Lanka" weekly Sinhala Radio program is a part of Sydney Blacktown Community Radio Network. The Sinhala program commenced 2008. At present, it is broadcasting live every Sunday for two hours from 5.00PM AEST.. It is a family-oriented apolitical program and focusses on social, economic, cultural and environmental, and other contemporary issues.
Though the SWR999 Blacktown FM radio network coverage is limited to Greater Sydney Area, as the Sinhala program is streaming live via the online, it outreach is worldwide.
The program also regularly contributed by subject matter experts to discuss key issues relevant to the Australian-Sri Lankan Community to raise awareness on important contemporary issues. At present, expert volunteers regularly participate to discuss issues.
The Producer and the principal presenter is Upul Padukka Vidana who is supported by a team of volunteers.
